Backyard Lifeguards is a full-service aquatic safety and private professional lifeguarding company serving residential pools and sporting events. An authorized provider of American Red Cross. safety training programs and services, Backyard Lifeguards delivers customized, on site pool assessments and water safety education for home pool owners, and is the only provider of insured, fully equipped* portable professional lifeguard services for pool parties and sporting competitions in the St. Louis area.

There are over 15,000 home pools and spas in St. Louis County. But until Backyard Lifeguards started, residential pool owners struggled to get vital, site-specific safety information, training, and services for safe and healthy swimming.

Statistics show that drowning occurs most frequently—a whopping 80% of the time—on private property and, sadly, in almost all cases these drownings are preventable. Backyard Lifeguards offers aquatic safety services to the individual consumer, in the hope it will educate and motivate them toward safety conscious choices, and take steps towards eliminating drowning accidents.
